Love’s Choice 2
Katana Force
Relena and Noin sat in the cockpit of the learjet and watched the ocean beneath them. The sun was rising as they neared their destination.
"Relena, what happened between you and Heero?" Noin asked.
"Well, I guess it’s only fair I tell you since you told me how you made a fool of my brother. Who knew he could be so easy?" Both laughed. "Yes, I will tell you." Relena took a deep breath and let it out slowly.
"I got out of the shower, and bam, there he was. I could tell he was surprised to see me."
"I’m sure he was. That was definitely some nightgown."
"Hilde
thought I should wear that one. Anyway, we just stood and studied each other. I
don’t know how long it was, but it felt like forever. I was wondering if I could
even go through with it, but I made it."
"How?"
"I did something I vowed I would never do in front of him. I put on my political mask and misguided him. I told him that he needed to go because the others wouldn’t believe we were completely serious. They still think there is something going on between us. Especially Duo."
Noin felt her chest constrict.
"Relena, I feel that I owe you an apology. You and I became the best of friends, but I left you for a couple months when your brother showed up again. I am sorry. I should have been there for you."
"Noin, don’t worry about it. You and my brother needed to get things said and done. I understand."
"You know, things did get said and done, but that was the only time. It was years ago. I still feel bad for lying to the other girls about nothing ever happening."
"You aren’t the only one." Noin’s head snapped up and her eyes grew wide as she looked to Relena.
"You mean-"
"Yes." Relena looked back out the window.
"But when?"
"It seems like it was a lifetime ago. It happened right after things settled down with the Bartons. Heero had just disappeared from the hospital, the others went back to their normal lives, and you and my brother disappeared. Then Heero happened to show up one night." Relena let out a weak laugh. "He said he was going to kill me. I told him ‘good’. I was tired of it all. I was tired of constantly fighting for peace, of all the stress. I was tired of having to deal with my emotions over him."
"Did he say anything?"
"Yeah, he lowered the gun and asked what I meant. I told him that I was tired of having to fight with myself. I loved him, but I could never be a part of him. I felt my life was useless."
"What happened?"
"He dropped the gun and fell to his knees. I was worried that he hadn’t completely recovered, so I rushed over to him. I dropped to my knees in front of him, and it just happened."
Noin watched Relena’s controlled expression. She knew their was more, but that was between Relena and Heero.
Relena felt bad for not telling Noin all that had happened, but she felt that if she did, it wouldn’t seem as real to her. Her mind traveled back to that night.
4 Years Ago:
Relena watched in shock as Heero’s entire body began to shake.
"Heero, what’s wrong?"
Shock rolled through her as Heero’s head lifted to reveal tears streaming down his tan cheeks. Relena gathered him in her arms and gently rocked back and forth. She felt Heero’s body tremble and his muscles tighten.
"Heero, it’s all right. Please, just let it all out."
Heero obeyed.
They had sat on the floor for who knows how long. All Relena remembered were the tears that she shed as Heero cried. Moans of pain came from his buried face. He held onto Relena like she was his only source of life.
After a while, the tears finally began to subside. The shaking began to stop, and Relena began to run her fingers through Heero’s unruly hair.
Relena woke later to find Heero sleeping with his head in her lap. She smiled and reached over her head to grabbed the throw blanket off her bed. Gently, so as not to wake him, Relena settled the blanket over Heero. After that task had been completed, she leaned against her bed and straightened out her legs, but those actions woke Heero.
She reached out and began to play with the hair at his temple. Heero’s eyes closed in peace, and they stayed that way for a while.
"Relena?" Relena opened her eyes and looked down at Heero.
"Yes?" Heero reached up and buried his hand in the hair at the back of her head.
"Thank you." Relena felt Heero pull her down. She felt their lips connect.
Simple at first, Heero sat up with the lips still connected. He pulled a little harder on her head. The kiss deepened.
With emotions running high, Relena knew she should stop. She knew this wasn’t right, but she needed it. She barely registered the fact the Heero was pulling her down on top of him, but she sure felt everything else.
Present:
She remembered waking up late the next morning, not sure what she would find. She found Heero gone, but an envelope resting on his pillow. She could recite the letter by heart.
Relena,
Last night was great, and I truly thank you for letting me be my true self. There is a side of me, a side I never knew existed, that tells me to stay. The other side, the one I trust, tells me to leave. I must trust that side and go. Maybe, someday in the future, we can pick up where we left off.
Until then,
Heero Yuy
Yup, she remembered every word.

The girls piled out of the van and looked at the massive beach house. It was a three story, with the whole front side completely glass. Trees lined up behind the house, creating a nice backdrop. A warn sea breeze played with the girls hair as they instructed some of the Preventers as where to put the still slumbering boys.
Relena and Hilde, seeing everything was under control, walked to the waters edge.
"Gee, when do you think they will wake up?"
"I don’t know, probably in a few hours."
"We should probably keep watch around the clock until they wake up." Both girls turned to see the others heading their way.
"You’re right, Sally. Why don’t I take first watch? The rest of you can get settled in."
"All right."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Relena put a hand to her mouth to stifle the laughter. The guys had been brought into a steel walled room, with only one door, while their arms were encased in binders and attached to the wall.
Relena shook her head. It was overkill, but they wanted the guys attention.
Setting her soda on the console, Relena watched the video feed and smiled. ‘They are so cute when they are asleep.’
Indeed they were. Duo was sprawled on the floor, snoring while a little drool formed at the corner of his mouth. Wufei was lying on his back while his legs and feet were vertical against the wall. Trowa was lying face down, while his leg kept twitching. Quatre, well he was curled into a ball in the corner of the room. Her brother was leaning against the wall with his legs outstretched before him. His head hung low and his hair covered his face.
Relena’s gaze rested on Heero, and she felt a hand reach in her and twist everything around. It was painful, very painful. ‘ Will the pain ever stop, Heero?’
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Slowly, Duo sat up and tired to shake the cobwebs out of his head. "Where am I?" He looked to see the others slowly waking. Noticing his surroundings, Duo let out a wail. "We’ve been kidnapped!"
Hearing Duo’s cry, they sat up quickly.
"But how could that be? That last thing I remember was being in my room with- Wait! Where’s Noin?"
"The girls aren’t here!"
"Man, whoever did this is going to face the full furry of the God of Death!" Duo moaned. "Just as soon as I can see straight." Without warning, the only door to the room opened and all six girls came walking in, lead by Relena. The other girls gathered around her with their guns pointing at the chained pilots.
"Relena! What are you doing? Where are we?"
"You, my dear brother, along with the rest of you, are our prisoners. You are on a tropical island, far far away from any real civilization."
"Why have you brought us here? What’s the big idea?" Quatre questioned.
"Your questions will be answered in time-"
"NO! We want our answers NOW!" Sally aimed her gun right above Wufei’s head and fired. Wufei ducked and was about to yell his heart out about injustice, when Sally interrupted him.
"Wufei, we have some of the best medical equipment here, so I am not afraid to hit you next time." Sally cocked her gun for emphasis. "Understand?"
Wufei just sat and glared.
"As I was saying, your questions will be answered in time. I will first say this. We are in control here. We hold all the cards. If you want to get off this island sane, you had better listen up. There is more a stake here than you realize."
Trowa raised his hands. "Yes, Trowa?"
"May I ask what it is that we have at stake?"
"I believe my second-in-command can answer that. Hilde?" Relena stepped back as all male eyes sung to the gun toting, German girl.
"What you have at stake here is your chance at a future with everyone of us. You tell us you love us. You tell us you will give us the world, yet you only use us. We are damn sick of it! We drawing the line in the sand. We are giving you an ultimatum."
"And what is that?" Milliardo asked. Relena stepped forward.
"If you five truly love these girls as you say, you will prove it."
"And exactly how do we prove it?"
"Like I said, brother, if you do love them, you will prove it." With that said, the others turned on their heals and walked out the door.
"Relena, wait!" Relena turned to see the pleading look on her brothers face. Sighing, she nodded for the others to go ahead without her.
"What is it, Milliardo?"
"Why are you doing this?"
The men cringed as Relena yelled at them. "Why? WHY? You ask me WHY I am doing this? I’ll tell you why! For the past months, I’ve watched those girls do everything for you! They cook for you! They clean for you! They put their lives aside so you can enjoy yours! And what do they get in return? A night of fun that is more for you than them." Relena took a deep breath and calmed.
"Listen, they are tired of being used. They love you with all of their hearts, yet you fail to show anything in return. Why? They want to know the answer to that question, and you are here to tell them the answer. They want solid proof that you love them, not what they can do for you."
"Relena, how do we do that?" Duo questioned.
"It’s as I said before. If you love them, you will prove it."
"You’ve already said that, but I still don’t understand!"
Relena sighed and shook her head. "Duo, all of you, let your love for them shine through. Follow the urgings of that emotion, and think of how it will benefit them, NOT you. Then you will have proven yourself."
"Relena?"
"Yes, Quatre?"
Quatre smiled. "Thank you."
Relena smiled in return. "Don’t thank me now, Quatre. You still have a lot of work to do." Relena was halfway out the door when she turned to face the boys again. "If you have any questions, just ask me. I promise whatever is said to me will go no further, and your food will be here soon."
The boys watched the door slid shut and silence surrounded them.
"What have we gotten ourselves into?"
Quatre looked over to the braided pilot. "I don’t know, Duo. I don’t know."
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Having eaten a large meal, the guys leaned against the wall and sighed. They had been in this cell for 8 hours and they wanted out. No one had said much, but many questions rolled around in their heads.
Again, without warning, the door slid open. The girls walked in, minus the sidearms, and stood in a perfect line. The pilots watched Relena walk in and examine them.
"I trust dinner was good?" Everyone nodded. "Good."
"We have decided to let you all go. We’ll show you to your rooms and let you take a shower or relax for a while. In an hour, we’ll meet outside for a fire and smores. I will warn you, don’t try anything stupid. You may end up getting hurt. As for getting any weapons back that we confiscated of you, forget it. We left them back home." Relena nodded and the other girls unchained their male counterparts and indicated for the guys to follow them.
Relena watched the last of them leave before turning to Heero, who was still chained.
"Are you going to unchain me?"
"Yeah, hold on a second." Reaching into her jeans pocket, she dug out the key and unlocked the binders. Heero stood and rubbed his wrists.
"I think they will cooperate."
"I hope so. Here." Relena pulled a gun from the back of her waist line and handed it to Heero. He looked down at it and back to Relena. "Do you mind helping keep the others inline? Since I’m not one of the girls with a ‘mission’ they gave me the mission of being ambassador. I was hoping that you would accept the mission of keeping the guys inline."
"Mission: accepted."
Relena laughed. "I never thought I would be so happy to hear those words."
Heero shook his head, hiding a small smirk. "Where am I sleeping?"
"Come on, I’ll show you." Heero studied his surroundings as they made their way to his room, while Relena was pointing things out. (AN: Use your imagination, mine fried at the moment. Just think $650,000)
"And this is your bedroom." Relena said. She stood back as Heero opened the door and walked in. It was spacious, but rather nice. Heero turned to see Relena standing in his doorway. He wondered why she didn’t come in, then it hit him. ‘Exactly four years ago in two days....’ He remembered that night. How could he forget? How could anyone forget?
Heero cleared his head before his trunk of forbidden memories could open.
"Where is everyone else staying?" Relena smiled and stepped back into the hallway to show Heero.
"Noin and Sally are staying in the farthest rooms down." Relena pointed to the two rooms closest to the stairs that lead to the living room. "Each opposite of each other. My brother’s room is next to Noin’s, while Wufei’s is next to Sally’s. Trowa is next to Wufei, with Midii next to him. Quatre is next to Milliardo, with Dorothy next to him." Relena pointed to the rooms opposite the stairs to the main entryway. "This is Hilde’s room, with Duo right across the hall." Relena pointed to the room next to Heero’s to indicate Duo’s room. "And this one next to yours is mine." Heero nodded at the setup.
"I see you have their rooms surrounded by the girls. Good choice."
"Thanks. Now let me show you this room." Relena indicated to the room across from Heero’s.
She opened the door to reveal a monster security system with three Preventer guards posted.
"This allows us to monitor the guys actions."
"Tell me Relena. Is Une behind this?"
"Yup."
Heero took one more good look around before following Relena out.
"Well, that’s everything. You’ll find an assortment of clothes in your closet and drawers. Feel free to wear anything you like. I’ll see you outside in fifteen minutes. Thanks for your help, Heero." Relena watched him nod his head at her and return to his room. A slight pain clawed at her heart.
