Sadly, but it's true. On with the story!
CH.2 Fun for the Pilots... (Uh-Oh ^_^ )
Relena sat silently at her
bureau with a mirror attached to it. She stared at herself for a long
time, took a deep breath and glanced at her clock while standing up. It
was only 9:00pm. One hour after her speech, and one hour after the whole
G-Gang was brought together once again. Relena was going to change into
her pj's but decided against it and walked out of her room.
She heard giggles and a low
voice. She walked toward the sound which just happened to be in Hilde's
room. She pushed open the hollow door and wasn't prepared for the sight
in front of her shocked eyes.
Trowa, Duo, Quatra and Wufei
were all stripped down to a pair of boxers and socks. (I just had to let
us see those great abbs on them all. Especially Trowa and Duo! ^_^ )
The girls: Cathrine, Hilde, Sally, and Dorothy, were stripped down to lacy bras
and panties.
Hilde looked up from what they
were doing and spoke as she saw Relena's baffled expression. "Strip
poker and beer." Hilde said simply. Then she continued,
"We just thought you wouldn't wanna play cuz Heero's not..."
Hilde trailed off as Cathy bumped her.
"They're
drunk...*hiccup*...like us." Duo grinned insanely. Relena stopped
staring and chuckled. "Well don't stop on account of me.
Please continue." With that Relena reclosed the door with only one
thought, ' They are gonna have the biggest hangover tomorrow morning.'
Then she changed her thoughts
to how she felt. ' I need some fresh air. I am kind of dizzy. I
wonder why. I get this way sometimes and there really is no reason...Is
there?' She walked slowly to a door that no one was supposed to know
about. Little did she know, a tall figure was on her trail.
~~~~~In the secret outside garden~~~~~
Relena sat by the fountain on the bench. She looked up at the moon, and
noticed it was a crescent. It reminded her of Heero. Hiding from
the world, from her, from himself. As the moon, hiding from Earth and
itself.
She sighed, "Oh Heero.
Why do you always leave? Why do you hide in the shadows like the moon?
Why do you hide from your friends? From yourself?" Relena
looked down and was suddenly aware of the presence behind her. She
turned around sharply and froze. She saw a perfectly built man a little
taller than she, and a rumpled green tank top and wild hair. And of
course, those Pursian blue eyes.
"Heero." Relena
stated.
Heero came closer and without
knowing what he was doing, he lifted her chin so she was staring into his
intense eyes. Her honey blonde hair blew lightly in the wind as her sea
blue eyes starred at him questioningly.
"Relena..."
She's so irresistible, but she'll get in the way. But she is my
mission...' Heero battled himself. "Relena," Heero
started but Relena interrupted.
"How'd you get here?
How'd you find me? And why didn't you play poker with the others?"
Relena half smiled at her last question. Heero hesitated but answered
anyway.
"I understand why you
don't want the others to use that door. I watched you and followed you.
That's the answer to questions 1 and 2. 3--no comment. I came
because..."
"How long have you been
there? The whole time?" Relena broke in again.
"Yea." Heero
replied monotonously.
"I'm sorry Heero.
What were you saying?" Relena asked.
"I found out how and who
the organization is. The new organization is called 'United'. They
came together from all sorts of places and the leader took them in for one
reason." Heero answered.
Relena paled slightly and
asked, "Why are you telling me all this? What is the reason?"
Relena had her hands up by her head and they were shaking out of anger and
confusion and sadness. She knew why he was telling her this, she didn't
want to believe it. Relena's thoughts were confirmed as Heero answered.
"I'll be leaving with the
others at 9am tomorrow morning. The reason is not import..."
"Yes. it is! I could
possibly help! Heero, do you know how much I wish I could do more than
just talk to people? I really wanted to make a difference but
not just by "talking" to them!" Relena exclaimed.
Heero hardened his features.
He didn't want to tell her, but since she was acting very maturely, he guessed
he would. "The reason is they want me and the others dead.
Mostly me." Heero replied flatly.
