Chapter Ten Tears

Rose stared at the trail of bubbles that Lena had left behind.  What had happened in there?  Everyone was silent.  Siren started to swim after her but Rose grabbed her tail and shook her head.
"Let's go back to Siren rock."  Everyone nodded and followed Rose.

We pulled ourselves onto Siren Rock.  Tears were streaming down most of our faces.  Some seemed shocked beyond tears.
"Something happened in there, something drastic."  I said.  Dorothy nodded in agreement.
"I wonder why Relena left."  Spray said softly.
"We may never know.  Maybe someday we will see her again, maybe not.  But something tells me not to go back to Liber Rock.  It may have been the anger on Mother's face."  I said sadly.
The three guardian dolphins swam up.  <A ship is approaching.>  One said.
We looked at each other as we remembered Lena's wish.  I nodded.  "We must become immortal, now sing!  Sing for Lena!"
We started to sing.  Our voices were loud and clear as crystal.  We heard the men yell happily as their ship approached us.  I let my tears fall freely, so I wouldn't have to watch the carnage as they died, and as we took the survivors.

ON BOARD THE HORNET II

Duo stood by himself.  It had been three days since Heero's death, but he couldn't move on.  He wished that with all his might Heero would come back and say, "That was a pretty neat trick I performed eh?"
"But you won't ever come back will you?  Damn you Yuy.  Why did you have to go?"

I watched the waves.  No one spoke to me, and I didn't speak to them.  I wanted to be comforted, but no one wanted to comfort me.  I turned when I heard footsteps.  It was Becky.
"Sir, the plank is ready for Davies."  I smiled sadly.
"Alright, have everyone gather around.  To have Davies walk the plank was Heero's last wish, so we're going to make it come true.  Are you with me?"
"All the way sir."  She turned and headed towards the all ship COM system.  "Everyone, this is a ship wide message.  Private Davies is about to walk the plank.  If you wish to see this, report to the flight deck."
In about five minutes, everyone was there.  I blindfolded Davies and drew a plastic sword.  I stuck him in the back.
"Walk the plank."  I snapped.  If he back talked, I might just draw a gun and shoot him.  I had to blame Heero's death on someone.
"You can't do this!!  This is the modern Navy!"  I ripped the blindfold off and drew a gun.
"There is no Navy, that was in the past.  We are one unit now, working to survive.  Now, you have pissed me off, if you don't start walking, I may just shoot you and roll your body off the plank!"  He mouthed wordlessly at me.  I turned the safety off and put a little bit of pressure on the trigger.  Not enough to fire the weapon, but still, the potential was there.
He took a step towards me.  Brave, yet very foolish.  I took my own words to heart, since there was no Navy, and I was in the position Hero was I couldn't be court marshaled so I pulled the trigger.
He doubled up in pain.  Blood gushed from the wound in his stomach.  I gave him my best death glare, put my foot firmly on his stomach, and shoved.  He fell backwards into the water.
"Say hello to Hades for me!  Tell him I'll be joining him soon!"  I pulled the trigger a few more times.  I watched as the blood rose to the surface.  I continued to empty the clip of bullets into him.  Chunks of skin floated to the surface.  I watched with satisfaction as sharks started to devour him.  I holstered my gun.
"Dismissed!'' I yelled.  Everyone seemed to run to get back to wherever they had been.  I don't think they wanted to be around me actually.  I walked back to the private deck and continued to watch the waves.  I let the tears flow down my face, so I could forget everything, and start over.
