A Love Found : Chapter 5

Onboard the spacecraft Relena was taking a nap until Laura woke her up.

"Relena wake up".

"What . . . What . . . What is it?" asked Relena.

"We have about another 2 hours before we land on Colony L5 and I thought you might want to eat something and freshen up before we arrive."

"Yes, I agree." Relena couldn't eat more than a sandwich, she was so nervous. She was actually going to see her father and brother once again after 10 long years. *What should I say? How will they react?* thought Relena. She glanced at her watch another hour before they arrive.

"How much longer Relena?" asked Hilde.

"About an hour", replied Relena.

"So Relena what will you say?" asked Catherine.

"I don't know".

"What so you think they will -

"No offense girls, but I don't feel like talking right now". They rode the rest of the way in silence.

Arriving At The Palace . . .

As Laura opened the door for the girls, Relena got flashbacks of her brother and herself running around laughing and getting into trouble. She brushed away the tears that were forming in her eyes. "Your brother, Milliardo Peacecraft, knows that I was on my way here. However, he doesn't know that you are here with me. Laura said to Relena.

"Then what did you tell him for you coming here?" asked Relena.

"I told him that I had some matters to discuss". Just then Laura turned to one of the guards outside the palace and said "Please sent someone to show us around". A few moments later, someone did appear. "Ladies I will show you where you will stay". Relena recognized the voice. She turned around "Pagan, is that you?"

"Miss Relena? It can be you, can it?"

"Yes Pagan, it's me." Pagan pulled Relena into a hug. "I knew some day you will return . . . I just knew it".

"Yes Pagan, I'm now home." Pagan then lead the girls into the palace to show them where their rooms would be. To Relena memory the palace hadn't changed much since she was last here. Each girl was settled in their room except for Relena and Laura. "Would you please take us to see the king." Laura said

"Yes, please wait in the private office and I'll summon the king" said Pagan

Laura nodded.

Relena's heart jumped, she couldn't believe she was going to see her father again. She sat and waited while Laura just stood waiting. 10 - 15 minutes had passed and suddenly the door knob turned and walked in the king. "Ah, Laura, I'm terribly sorry I'm late, I was at a meeting."

"No problem", Laura replied as they shook hands. Relena heard that voice, it wasn't her father's but her brother. *Maybe father handed the honor of being king to her brother* thought Relena. "Now what is the matters you wanted to discuss?" asked Milliardo.

"Well, actually I wanted to return someone who belongs here."

"What? Who? That I know of on one belongs here Laura. I believe that you are mistaken".

"I'm afraid I'm not. Stand up and step in to light" Laura said to Relena. Relena did and looked up at Milliardo.

"No . . . it can't be! Re . . . Re . . . Relena?"

"Yes brother it's me. I'm back."

"Relena!!!" Milliardo cried and ran to his sister and hugged her. "Oh Relena, I can't believe it. I have dreamt that this day will come". "I know Milliardo, I know".

"Exuse me, but I think I'll leave now before you two make me cry" "Goodbye Milliardo, Relena." Laura said.

"Laura I thank you. Please come and visit" Relena said.

"Oh, don't worry I will . . . within 9 months". She smiled and left.

The next 5 hours Relena and Milliardo sat in the office and talked about what had happened over the past 10 years. Relena learned that her grandmother did die from the bullet wound, they searched everywhere, and that they always celebrated her birthday each year. Milliardo learned about her becoming a slave, Heero, her pregnancy, and her 4 best friends. "Don't you want to see Heero and tell him that you are carrying his child?"

"No, I don't want to go back to Earth. There's too much sad memories there.

"Besides I don't want to weigh him down with this responsibility".

"Yes Relena but -

"Brother please respect my wishes"

"Of course Relena, of course".

"Now, we have talked about everything except father. Where is he?"

"Well Relena, about 5 years ago he had a terrible heart attack and died. I then became King".

"Oh no, NO! FATHER!" screamed Relena

"Relena it's okay" Milliardo said and hugged her while she cried. "It's alright. I will help you get though this my beloved sister. Don't worry, you now have nothing to worry about.
