"Falling Apart" Chapter Eight

"Kei-san, what was your family like?" Relena abruptly asked looking out the window as the rain pounded onto the glass. Kei flinched at the question and sighed. He held Relena tighter.

"It’s a too a long of a story to tell you," Kei expressed as he put his head at the nook of her neck closing his eyes. Relena sat there feeling cold, it wasn’t like the times before when he always made her feel warm. This time it was strange, he felt cold as ice. Relena shivered.

"Is there anything wrong?" Kei questioned raising his head. Relena shook her head and gave her famous smile.

"I believe Kei went to Relena’s home," Yui answered blankly. Heero nodded as he paced around the room thinking of a plan that wouldn’t seem suspicious to anyone.

"You can’t develop a plan without knowing his objective," Yui muttered sitting up. Heero glared at her, she only shrugged it off.

"I can just take the damn chip off of him, that’s all there is to it," Heero mumbled, "But how can I get close enough to do it without him or anyone else noticing?"

"It’s not that simple Heero. You have to find his creator’s objective first. If you just take the chip off of Kei, the creator can just make another one that can be more dangerous and demanding. If the creator was smart enough he wouldn’t let Kei know what his objective is," Yui informed. Heero got slightly jealous of her acknowledgements.

"So you’re saying if I beat the shit out of him, he wouldn’t be able to tell me any information, because he doesn’t know it?" Heero questioned looking at Yui in a strange way. Yui sighed.

"Thus, the creator is controlling or manipulating Kei’s brainwaves to do all these things for him, so Kei thinks that he actually is feeling the desire to be with Relena when he really doesn’t. His master must be clever to do so," Yui finished.

"So Kei thinks that he’s doing all this on his own?" Heero asked. Yui nodded, she took her pistol on the table and placed it in its rightful place.

"I know all of this from experience. I don’t need to follow anyone’s instructions anymore," Yui announced as she opened the door and walked out with Heero following her.

"Question is, do you still love him?" Heero asked. Yui ignored his question and kept on walking. The rain soaked their hair as they walked on the street silently and briskly. Yui began to reload her pistol while Heero looked on not knowing what to expect of Yui.

"I guess I’ll have to just do it then," Yui thought looking sadly onto the flooding street. The house shined brightly with all the lights on in the house’s rooms. Heero knocked down the front door as Yui swiftly ran into the living room where Kei and Relena was.

"Yui…what are you doing here?" Kei questioned angrily standing up. Heero ran towards Relena as he took hold of her she cried out for Kei. Yui smirked, Heero knew it was the sign to get Relena out of there.

"Go," Yui commanded as she took her fight stance and so did Kei. Heero nodded and headed out the door with a screaming Relena on his back.

"Heh…Heero isn’t smart at all," Kei warned as he and Yui landed a punch on each other. Yui grabbed him with her legs flipping him over and slamming him onto the floor. Kei grabbed her leg and pulled her down with him punching her face. Heero rang the door and pounded it until a sleepy Duo and Hilde answered aghast. Heero ran inside and gently put the thrashing Relena onto the couch.

"Call the others! Don’t let Relena go home, I’ll be back," Heero commanded running towards the door, but stopped midway. Heero walked back to Relena and kissed her passionately knowing that he might not return. With that he stomped out the house once again. Relena’s head began to pound as flashes of memories began to return to her. She grabbed her head in pain, and her breathing became raspy as Hilde try to ask her what was wrong. She finally remembered who Heero was and her love for him…

"Take care of her Duo," Heero hollered, Duo only nodded looking at a crying Relena. Relena was confused at what he had done and ran into the bathroom where she locked herself in crying endlessly. Hilde and Duo could only say comforting words to her on the other side of the bathroom to no avail.

Heero ran into the house where he spotted a motionless body on the floor. Heero winced at who it was. Kei sat in the armchair sipping tea smiling his sick innocent smile. Yui didn’t have any blood on her only some bruises, but that was it.

"Heh, you thought that Yui could beat Kei’s creator ne?" Kei mocked as he threw the rest of the tea onto Yui, the tea was so hot you could hear the little sizzling sound on her leg. Yui didn’t even flinch at the pain that it had inflected on her. Kei grinned and grabbed Yui’s limp body towards the window. Heero aimed his gun at Kei.

"Don’t move or I’ll shoot," Heero ordered with his finger on the trigger. Kei shook his head pitying Heero with his moves.

"Yui didn’t tell you I couldn’t die without being rebuilt again? Besides you couldn’t even catch up with Yui how could you catch up with me anyway?" Kei taunted as he leapt into the night. Heero knew that if he couldn’t beat Yui, how in the hell could he beat Kei? It wasn’t true that they couldn’t die, because for a fact they could. His only chance of that was if Kei killed himself. They were beyond a human’s reflexes even his. Kei probably took Yui to put that stupid chip back on and this one would probably be stronger since the other one was wearing off. Heero walked out of the dim house and into the rain looking at the clouded skies of what to do.

"Yui…what do I do?" Heero asked to no one in particular.
