Falling Apart: Chapter 2

"Relena?" a voice echoed in Relena’s head. Is that who I am? ‘Relena’ the voice seem to fade away. It seemed far and distant. She felt lost…she was surrounded by blackness. She followed were the voice was echoing.

**********

"Relena," Heero repeated constantly holding her hand as everyone else watched. Everyone never knew she’d end up in the hospital. A man had found her laying on the street with blood surrounding her. Quatre felt the guiltiest of all, because he was the one who left her alone and so did Dorothy. They never knew what really happened, exactly that is. Sally observed that Relena had lost a big deal of blood and may stay in acoma for awhile. Sally also said that the strange part was that Relena’s blood was black and not red. Once Heero had heard, he went into depression, all he said was ‘Relena’. Milliardo, well, he didn’t take it so lightly either, he basically went hysterical and blamed it on Heero. Good thing Noin was there to tie him up in a chair so he wouldn’t kill Heero. It was getting late and everyone had bags under their eyes.

"Go home," Heero croaked, everyone was surprised that Heero had said something. They obeyed and went home, they all were exhausted for staying late at night for two entire days when they should be studying for their exams, so they’d be able to attend a college.

"I’m sorry, I’m sorry, I…I love you, Relena. Please come back to me, please…" Heero begged clamping his hands around Relena’s. Her hand, it was so cold and her face was dead pale. Tears began to stream down his cheeks and landed on Relena’s forehead. Sluggishly, Relena opened her eyelids, getting used to the light. Heero stopped crying and froze.

"Relena?" Heero asked staring at her greenish-blue eyes. He began smiling and hugging her. When he let go of her, she looked bewildered, he was ready to tell her everything. But something else came out of her mouth than ‘What happened?’

"Who are you?" she asked scooting away from him. Heero was in total shock.

"‘Who are you?’" he echoed, pain etched on his face, he looked down on the floor. Relena rubbed her temples trying to keep focus of her eyesight. Relena noticed that her hand was joined with his and she quickly yanked it out. Heero winced and looked at her eyes, they weren’t the same ones. The ones that he knew had love in them just for him, but they were replaced with bewilderment.

"I’m nobody," Heero replied curtly, stood up and left the room without even saying a goodbye. Relena had remember those eyes, those eyes were so familiar. Why did he leave? And why was he holding her hand? He was handsome, but mysterious. She didn’t know who she was and she didn’t have anybody to ask. She recognized that she was in a hospital room, where the lights were dim and everything was quiet except for the honking cars down below. She felt lonely and lost. she put up her knees, wrapped her arms around herself protectively and began to cry. Heero stood next to the door from the outside and listened to her cry. His Relena was gone, and it’s too late now.
