Relena closed her book and turned over on her stomach. Homework was done, now it was time to call Hilde. She slid off her bed and went down stairs to get the phone. Her mom was constantly complaining about how Relena talked on the phone like a teenager, even more than her brother Millardo, who was sixteen. Hilde’s numbers were dialed and soon the familiar ringing filled Relena’s right ear.
"Hello?" a man with a thick German accent asked.
"Hi, it’s Relena. Is Hilde there?" Relena asked Hilde’s father.
"Hello Relena! I will get Hilde for you," Mr. Schbeiker said. Soon Relena could hear someone running in the general direction of the phone.
"Relena! There is something I’ve got to tell you!" Hilde panted.
"Well, what is it?" Relena asked beginning to get excited.
"I can’t tell you here, Napoleon and Madonna are gonna flip. I’ll meet you in the park and tell you there. Be there at noon" Hilde murmured. Napoleon and Madonna were nicknames she had given her parents a few years back. Her father was Napoleon because he was short and had an equally short temper. Her mother was Madonna because she was blonde and was known to almost always bring up the most taboo subjects.
"By the old swings, right?" Relena asked.
"Right," Hilde confirmed. With that she hung up.
"Mom, I’m going to the park to meet Hilde!" Relena called to her mother who was in the living reading a book.
"Okay, be back by four, your grandparents are coming over for dinner," her mother called back. Relena nodded to say she understood and walked out the door into the crisp spring air. The suburban neighborhood was a quiet one, where young couples came to raise a family. It was almost like a small town, everyone new each other’s names and each other’s business. That was one of the reasons Mr. and Mrs. Darlin had chosen to move here when she was pregnant with Millardo. They wanted someplace clean and safe to raise their own brood.
It was 11:30 when Relena left the house. She knew she had plenty of time to sit around at home but she wanted some alone time at the park.
Relena turned the corner that led into the park and then went down an old beat up path that had long been forgotten. This was the path to the secret park. Four years ago the city abandoned the old park and built a newer high tech one closer to the edge so children wouldn’t have to walk as far to get to the toys. The old park wasn’t completely abandoned though. Hilde and Relena would always go there to share secrets, do homework, or just shoot the breeze. It was their place now.
Relena was almost at the meeting place when someone violently grabbed her by the arm. She looked up and was face to face with a stranger with sandy blonde hair and brown eyes. He looked close to Millardo’s age, maybe a year or so older.
"You shouldn’t be walking in the park alone," he stated.
"Thank you, I’m quite all right," Relena said trying to sound brave and in control of the situation.
"You WERE all right. I’ll make sure you learn your lesson!" he smirked. With that he pushed Relena on her back and proceeded to shove his hands up her shirt forcefully. Relena tried to kick him but soon he pinned her legs down with his own.
"Don’t struggle, you’ll only make this worse on your self," he stated. Tears formed in Relena’s eyes. Where was Hilde? She was supposed to be here by now. No, she wasn’t. Relena suddenly wish she hadn’t left so early.
The man on top of her began to grin as she teared up. "Oh, what’s wrong? Am I hurting the little girly?" he asked with mock sympathy.
"Get OFF OF ME!" Relena yelled.
"Go ahead, yell. There’s no one here, little girl. It’s a Sunday, all the good little girls and boys are in Church. Tsk tsk. Looks like you’re gonna do two bad things today. One not going to church, the other...having sex on a Sunday." The man laughed as used one hand to pin down Relena’s above her head and the other to shove up her skirt. Relena turned her head away from him as if not looking at him would make him go away. But it didn’t. She could still feel him violating her. Suddenly he was off of her and lying on the ground just a few inches away, a very angry Hilde on his back. Hilde jumped up and pulled Relena’s arm.
"Come on! We have to run! COME ON RELENA!" Hilde yelled. Relena was in a daze, what had happened. It took a while for Hilde’s words to register in her mind and by that time they were running. Far away from the man who had not chased him. Far away....far...

Odin grumbled as he walked in the house. THAT had not gone well. If that stupid girl with the black hair hadn’t have interrupted him he could have had some fun today. He glared at his younger half brother who was sitting at the kitchen table doing his homework.
"Where’s dad?" he asked.
"I don’t know, with Marlene," Heero answered. Odin scowled at him again for good measure before pouring himself a bowl of cereal. He couldn’t help but not like the kid. Heero had just shown up three years ago when the child services had to take him away from his mother because of malnutrition and abuse. His father, Adin Lowe, was Heero’s father as well. If he hadn’t worked in the police station none of this would have ever happened. It was by chance actually. They had brought some of Heero’s blood in for testing just in case there was a remote chance they could find his father and some how Adin’s blood got in the lab and was a perfect match. They did several test to confirm it and every single one was positive. At first Adin felt sorry for his youngest son, because of all the things he went through. Soon he began to severely dislike him because his wife found out Heero was conceived when Adin spent the night with a whore. That dislike soon turned to hate when he wife left him for another man. Heero had ruined the family and they never let him forget it.
Heero finally got tired of Odin glaring at him and went upstairs to his room . His room. His sanctuary and his prison. He sat down at his desk and pulled out his homework and began to finish the last few math problems.
Heero...
He looked around for the person who called his name. No one was there.
Don’t ignore you’re mother, dear.
He got up so quickly the chair fell back. Mother? No, she was gone. No one was there.
My son...
"Go away."
I love you.
"Go away."
I hate you. You did this to me!
"You’re not real! You’re gone!" he whispered to no one.
I am real. I am here. With you, Heero.
"No...leave me alone...please..." he begged clutching his head.
I will always be with you. I live in your head, Heero.
"Please die."
I live in your head. I will live with you. Forever.
"If I die. You die."
Yes.
"If I die...you..." he murmured, his hands slowly making their way to a pair of scissors that sat unused on his desk.
Let me live.
"Die!" he yelled as he plunged the scissors into his stomach. Hot red blood pulsed out from the wound he had just created. He gasped then began to smile as blood slowly ebbed out of his body and soaked his shirt. A small puddle of the red, sticky liquid had already began to pool around his feet.
No!
"YES!" he laughed, causing the blood to work it’s way up to his mouth. He knew he was dying and was accepting it with open arms. Soon the world began to turn fuzzy and gray. He slumped to the floor and just at that moment Odin walked into his room.

Chibi Cat: End of the Prologue. Heero is not schizophrenic, people are known to hallucinate when under extreme stress or when they are very depressed. Angst enough for ya? Well if not don’t worry, we have plenty on the way. You didn’t think Duo and Hilde were safe did ya? And I still have plenty in store for Heero and Relena.
Heero: You haven’t finished torturing me YET?
Chibi Cat: You’re my fave character! Ya think I’d let you off the hook that easily? Review!
