Chapter 11

"Heero, come on you have to eat something." Relena said to Heero. It was the next morning and Relena was trying to make Heero eat. He didn’t eat a lot maybe an apple, an orange, or some other fruits was all. He was beginning to look skinny and bony. He would probably starve to death, if he didn’t eat. He didn’t even want to get up after last night. So Relena went to his room, to give him breakfast.

"Come on, eat." Relena said and Heero shook his head. Relena sighed. ‘He’s acting like a little kid.’ She thought.

"I’m not hungry." Heero whispered. Relena looked at him in the eye.

"That’s because you are starving to death." Relena said, she was sitting in a chair next to his bed and he was sitting up.

"No." Heero said. Relena sighed again and she smiled.

"Please." She said looking him in the eye.

"Fine, but I’m not eating that stuff." He said looking at the plate of pancakes, which Relena had in her hand.

"What’s wrong with it?" Relena asked looking at it. Heero crossed his arms and looked away.

"Come on, Heero. You are acting like a baby." Relena said and smiled. Heero shook his head and lay down.

"Leave me alone." Heero said coldly.

"Heero, I trying to make sure you stay healthy." Relena said.

"I don’t want to be healthy." Heero said.

"Heero, do you want me to feed you." Relena asked and smiled at the thought. Heero didn’t say anything he just looked up at the ceiling. Relena sighed and put the food on the desk next to the bed.

"I’ll be right back." Relena said and walked out of his room. Heero turned and looked at the food. He sat up and put it in his lap. He picked up a fork and cut a little piece. He picked the piece and slowly brought it up to his mouth. He put it in and chewed it slowly. He swallowed the piece and then a little smile appeared on his face. He cut another piece and did the same thing. Then he heard Relena open the door and he put the food back on the desk. She sat back in the chair looked back at the plate. She smiled and turned back at Heero.

"You ate some." She said and Heero looked at her, then nodded.

"Thank you." She said and kissed him on the cheek. He looked at her and sat up again. He had his hand over his arm, where Melody stuck the needle in him and winced in pain.

" What wrong Heero?" Relena asked looking at his hand over his arm.

"Nothing." Heero said. Relena just looked into his cold eyes.

"Don’t lie, What’s wrong?" Relena said.

"Relena can you leave?" Heero asked quietly.

"Why?" Relena asked. Heero glared at her and she got up, then left. Heero got up and walked to the bathroom. He bent down over the toilet and threw up. He wasn’t feeling well, because of the drugs Melody stuck in him in the same night. Relena was outside of his door, listening to him vomit. (I know it sounds weird.)

"Why won’t you tell me what’s wrong Heero?" Relena whispered. Heero flushed the toilet and turned on the shower. ‘What’s wrong with me, why am I so weak?’ Heero thought and looked into the mirror then bent down to vomit again.

After about an hour in the bathroom and then getting dressed Heero walked out of his room. He walked to the garden, to get fresh air. His head was hurting, so was his arm and his mouth. He went in the garden and sat on a bench. It was cold and he was wearing a light jacket. There was snow on the ground and he remembered how the snow made him remember the little girl and her dog. His father would bring him outside in the snow and show him little kids having fun. Little kids his age playing with their families and their friends. His father would tell him how he didn't deserve a good life like that. He didn't deserve a life was actually the meaning of it all. He looked down at the ground; it made him remember so many things. He didn't like the wintertime; it was always the bad time of the year for him. It was true that even though his father did so many bad things to him, he still loved him. That's why he could never kill him.

"Heero." Relena whispered. Heero was so lost in thought he didn't even know she was there. He still looked down. Relena sat next to him on the cold bench and looked down too. She wanted to talk to him, but he would probably be cold to her. So they just sat there in silence. The wind made Relena's hair fly to the side. Heero looked at her and they made eye contact. Relena smiled and Heero just looked into her deep aquarium colored eyes. 'She's so beautiful, why would she love someone like me.' Heero thought. Relena shivered and put her arms around herself.

"It's so cold." She whispered looking into Heero's emotionless eyes. Her teeth were chattering and she closed her eyes. Heero looked at her shiver and he whispered,

"Why don't you go inside?" Relena opened her eyes again and smiled.

"Only if you come with me." She whispered.

"No, I'm going to stay out here." He said coldly.

"Then, I will too." Relena said through her chattering teeth. Heero shrugged and looked down again.

"Oh man, why does it have to be so cold?" Relena whispered.

"Relena go inside." Heero whispered.

"Uh uh. I'm staying if you're staying." Relena said.

"Fine." Heero said, quietly. Relena looked at Heero again. 'How could he just sit there and freeze to death.' She thought.

"Come on Heero." Relena said and got up. Heero smirked and looked up at her.

"So you couldn't stand staying out here, huh?" Heero said.

"No, I mean yes. I mean I want to go inside." Relena said.

"I want to stay here." Heero said.

"You are going to freeze out here." Relena said.

"So." Heero said.

"Come on." Relena said and grabbed his hand causing him to stand up. Then they walked inside.

"Let's go in the living room, it's warm in there." Relena said. She took off her jacket and dropped it on the couch. She sat on the couch that was next to the fireplace and hugged her knees to her chest. Heero took off his jacket and put it in the closet, then sat next to Relena on the couch. She took off her boots and dropped it on the floor. Then stretched out her legs. She looked at Heero who was just staring at the fireplace.

"Heero do you want to lay down?" Relena asked.

"Where?" He asked.

"Right here. You can rest your head on my lap." Relena said in a happy tone. Heero looked at her in a 'oh' kind of face and then she smiled. He put his head on her lap and lay the rest of his body on the couch. He closed his eyes and Relena stared at him. Heero fell asleep and Relena just stared at him with a smile on her face.

Meanwhile, Melody was at a bar. She was drinking and dancing. All she would do was mess up her brain, while the fire of her soul burned. She would only give herself to Heero. When she was with him she would feel cold instead of hot. That is why she kept on going back, even though she knew when she touched him it would burn. It wouldn't matter, she needed to feel good, and it didn't matter if he wasn't feeling good. She stopped dancing and ran out of the bar. She went into the alley and lit a cigarette.

"I need you Heero." She whispered to herself. She saw a taxi and put her hand out to catch it.

"Go to the sank kingdom." She said to the taxi driver.

"Heero, wake up." Relena whispered. She shook him a little and he slowly opened his eyes.

"Huh." He whispered. 'He's so cute.' Relena thought and smiled. Heero sat up and then got up from the couch.

"What's wrong, Heero?" Relena asked as Heero ran upstairs covering his mouth. Heero ran upstairs and into the bathroom. He bent over the toilet and threw up again. He was feeling okay, but then in his dream he saw Melody and the thought of her made his want to throw up. He heard footsteps in his room and got up weakly from the toilet bowl. He flushed the toilet and went to the sink. He washed his face with water and rinsed out his mouth. He brushed his teeth and gargled mouthwash. He looked into the mirror and got walked out of the bathroom.

"Relena." Heero whispered.

"I'm here, Heero." Relena said. She was standing outside the doorway.

"Heero, why won't you tell me what's wrong?" She asked.

"I can't." Heero whispered.

"Please, I won't get mad." Relena said.

"No, Relena." Heero said looking down. Relena stared at him and then stared into his eyes.

"Heero, I want to help you." She said as tears started in her eyes.

"You can't help me, you are too weak." Heero said in a low voice.

"I can help you, if you let me." Relena said as tears spilled down her face.

"Relena, I'm sorry you can't help me." Heero whispered.

"But…" Relena started and Heero walked over to her. Relena walked in front of Heero and put her arms around him.

"I can." She said and sobbed on his chest. When she ran and hugged him, she caught him off guard and they both fell to the floor. Heero winced in pain, when his head hit the floor. Relena was still crying and Heero looked up to the ceiling. 'I'm so weak. Is it, because I'm dead or because I love Relena.' Heero thought and Relena sobs went down a little.

"I… I'm sorry Heero." Relena said still holding onto him.

Melody had finally got to the sank kingdom and paid the cab driver his money. She ran up to the where Heero's room was and climbed up to the balcony. She opened the door quietly and so Relena sobbing onto Heero's chest. She looked at them shocked and then angry. Heero looked up and saw Melody standing there, ready to kill.

"Relena get up." Heero whispered.

"What are you doing?" Melody said. Relena looked up and got to her feet.

"What are you doing here?" Relena said in a mean voice, wiping her tears. Melody smirked.

"I came to finish what I started last night." Melody said.

"What?" Relena said. Then she remembered when she came in and asked Heero, who woke him up, then he told her to leave.

"Never mind that. Get away from Heero, he's my toy." Melody said in a mean tone.

"He's not anyone's toy." Relena said in rage.

"The perfect soldier is weak, because of all the drugs I stick in him. He is something I can play with, because he can't move when I drug him. So I play with him, that makes him my toy." Melody said.

"How could you do that?" Relena asked.

"I enjoy it. Now move." Melody said and took out a gun, then pointed at Relena. Relena moved in front of Heero and said,

"You can't have him."

"Who's going to stop me?" Melody said.

"Relena." Someone said from behind Melody. Melody turned around when she heard the voice.

"Jade." Relena said.

"Miss Jade." Melody said. Jade stood in the doorway of the balcony. She threw the gun in the air and landed in front of Heero. Heero picked it up and gave it to Relena.

"I always seem to come in at the right time." Jade said and smirked. Melody was still looking at Jade, when Relena shot at Melody.

A/N: Exciting Chapter with a whole bunch of goodies. The next chapter will hopefully be the last. Not much of a showdown, but who cares. I gave you a showdown in chapter 5, which only 5 people read. Are you happy Jade came and saved their butts? Relena gets to help Heero after all, huh. This is actually almost over, I know you all must be happy. This was my longest story. Review.
