Beautiful Dreams and Nightmares
**Chapter 3** *
A young Heero ran faster through the beautiful forest. It was dark now, but the light was still bright. The leaves of the forest looked like a dark green, because of the darkness. The sky shone with bright light from the stars, but not as bright as the one light he was heading too. Even the heavenly glow of the moon, didn’t out number the light ahead. Heero knew there was something waiting for him on the other side of the light. The feeling of reaching it was so wonderful, so good, that it was unexplainable. But this time he could actually feel himself making it. His face didn’t show what he felt inside. His face was emotionless. The lush garden around him made him feel wanted or needed. For no explainable reason, of course. For the first time, since he started having these strange dreams, he made it. He stood in front of the bright light, shielding his eyes. He squinted and walked forward into the light. Walking into the light made him feel like someone was gently pulling him in and he fell to the ground, head first. He breathed in and then out on the ground. Then he gently picked himself up. He looked up and he looked down at himself, noticing that he was older. Fairies that were big and small flew around a small Crystal Lake. He got up and walked across the shallow part crystal clear water to the platform in the middle. A little fairy girl turned around and flew towards him. She looked like the girl at the park except she had wings.
"Hello mister." She said and he looked at her blankly.
"Didn’t I meet you before?" Heero said quietly.
"Maybe in another world." She whispered and giggled. "Follow me, the rebirth of the dove is starting now." Heero nodded and looked at her gently smiles at him. His shoes made a slapping sound on the ground from the water as he followed the little girl to the crowd of fairies.
"Look it’s happening, be very quiet." The girl whispered and Heero nodded. The world became dark and the clouds covered up the heavens. Then the clouds slowly separated and let in the heavenly glow of the moon. The glow shone on the Crystal Lake and the water started to separate. A big beautiful blue flower sprouted out of the water, with gentle droplets spilling off the petals. When the whole flower came out from beneath, the water went back to the way it was, but the light still shone upon the flower. Heero looked down at the little girl who looked at the flower in awe. Heero looked back at the flower, admiring the beautiful color of it. The flower turned into glass, but still the shape of the flower and shone upon all the fairies. Heero struggled to look at the flower and noticed a girl inside.
"Relena." He whispered in sudden surprise. Relena sat covering herself sitting in the beautiful glass flower. She slowly opened her beautiful aquarium eyes that glittered softly. She looked as if she was sitting, in the beautiful flower. She turned her head slowly looking at the fairies that stood around her and smiled sweetly. She stretched her body and noticed the fairy wings on her back. They were a beautiful rainbow color and she blinked as she looked at them. Then she looked down at herself and noticed that she was naked. She blushed lightly and covered up body in a light blue sheet inside the crystal.
"You see that mister? Isn't she beautiful? Mama and Papa said she was our dove of peace, love and beauty. Everlasting peace, love and beauty. I can't wait, till I get to meet her, can you? Mister?" The little girl whispered quietly. Heero stared at Relena blankly and they made eye contact. Relena spread her arms out and then closed her eyes slowly. 'What's happening?' She thought. A growing pain came to her back and she crossed her arms, closing her eyes tightly.
"The awaking." The little girl whispered and Heero nodded.
"Ah. Ahh. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" Relena screamed as she braced herself. The crystal flower broke crashing gently in the great shiny lake. The heavens glowed on her as the sun glowed on her and he was still in midair, holding onto herself with her eyes closed tightly. Her rainbow wings slowly fell off her back, not causing any pain, but there was still the terrible pain in her back. It felt like it was going right threw her like a sharp sword or something even worse. It was getting closer.
"Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!" She screamed as bird like wings broke through her back. Blood dripped from the ends of the wings and she winced in pain. The pain quickly died down and she stood up in the air.
"Beautiful." The little girl whispered and little tears spilled down her face. The light died down and Relena fell into the water. She was going down and she looked up, holding her chest.
"What is happening to me?" She whispered and looked down at her hands. "Why can I breathe underwater?" She swam up and popped her head through the water. She swam towards the platform and pulled herself up. She bent on her knees, gasping for air. She looked up to see fairies staring at her. Her wings spread to each side and she covered her body again, because the sheet fell off of her body while in the water.
"Dove of Peace." The little girl whispered and flew over to Relena.
"Who are you?" Relena whispered. The little girl smiled.
"We are your followers, Dove of Peace." The little girl whispered. The fairies started to talk and they sounded just like the voices from before.
"You are those voices." She said. "I came to help you."
"Yes. You came to save us." The little girl whispered. Relena stood up and made eye contact with Heero, again.
"Heero." She whispered. The little girl turned around and so did the other fairies. Relena smiled and walked towards him.
"You didn't want me to leave." She whispered.
"Stay away." The fairies whispered, "He'll break your heart, he'll kill you, he'll kiss us with death, stay away." Relena stopped and her smile vanished, then she turned around.
"We will protect you." The fairies said and took at daggers. They threw them at him and he dodged them.
"No, stop it." The little girl yelled and flew towards Heero. She blocked his heart as a dagger flew towards it.
"Uh." The little girl squeaked as dagger hit her flesh. Her eyes went wide and she held the dagger under her heart. Heero's eyes went wide as he stood at the edge of the platform falling backwards with the little girl. They fell into the water, going down. Heero held the limp little girl in his arms as she bled. He caressed her tiny cheek, his eyes still blank.
"Wake up, please." He whispered. The little girl's eyes slowly opened and she smiled, with a dying light in her beautiful eyes.
"Does it hurt?" She whispered.
"Huh?" Heero whispered quietly.
"Does it hurt to be alone? I don't want you to hurt, I don't want you to be alone, but it feels like I'm disappearing." She said and blinked.
"It hurts and it hurts now. " Heero said in his monotone voice.
"Oh. I love you mister." The little girl said with a faint whisper and kissed his cheek, then vanished. Bubbles flew up to the surface and Heero looked up. 'Why does my heart so much?' He thought. He closed his eyes as he went down lower into the lake.
Relena turned around and saw Heero fall off the edge with the little girl in front of him.
"Heero." She whispered. "I'm sorry, but I can't save you. I never could, you were always so strong and so ignorant. I must save the ones who want to be saved."
"Relena." Heero whispered in the water.

AN: I know this sounds AU to you and it partly is, because it's happening in their dreams. I know it took me a long time, but I promise to get the next chapter out sooner. I'm so sorry, was it worth the wait? Am I still rushing it a bit? Well review.
