Beautiful Dreams and Nightmares

**Chapter 1**

A little Relena raced in the ankle high crystal water. She pulled up her delicate sundress and swung it around. She smiled and giggled. She twirled so fast that she fell to the ground and her butt hit the water. She chuckled and bent down on her knees. She put herself in a praying mode.

"I wish to live here forever. I wish to live here forever." She whispered to herself. She got up and played again. She ran around in a circle. She felt like she was flying, like she was somewhere unexplainable.

"Heaven." She whispered and looked up to the sky. The sun beamed on her tiny face and she smiled. The world shook and she fell to the ground again. Her eyes went wide and she looked at the ground. The water turned black and the ground started to break. Relena got up to her feet, ready to run. But a hand came up from the ground and grabbed her. She fell to her face and grabbed onto the ground trying to stay on the surface. She tried to scream but nothing would come from her voice. She was pulled under and she screamed with all her heart. Darkness surrounded her and she whimpered. Tears started in her eyes and she looked up. She couldn’t see anything, but darkness.

"Where am I?" She whispered in the darkness, hearing only her voice fill the air.

"You are in your soul. You are in your soul. Dark. Dark and alone." A voice whispered to make an echo. More voices started saying the same thing, echoing.

"No." She whispered.

"Yes." The voices said.

"I…I don’t want to be alone. It’s so dark leave me alone." She whispered, sobbing.

"You are alone, You are alone. You will always be alone, Dove of peace." The voices said, in a first innocent tone, then a devilish tone.

"No." Relena whispered and her eyes shot open. She brought up her hand to her face seeing she was still 16. She looked around and realized she was on the floor.

"It…It felt so real." She whispered to herself. She looked up at the ceiling and got off the floor. She walked out onto her balcony rubbing her arms for warmth.

"It's so cold." She said through chattering teeth. She looked up to the moon and smiled.

"Was it a dream or a nightmare?" Then she turned around to go back to sleep.

"So much work." Relena said. It was the next night and she was still in her office doing paperwork. She hummed a sweet song to herself. A song she remembered the melody of, but not the name of.

"Done." She said and smiled to herself. She got up and sighed. She locked her office door and looked around to see she was the only one left. She walked outside and decided to walk home instead of taking a taxi home. The wind blew gracefully and it was a perfect night to walk. She walked past many apartment buildings. She looked down and then ahead of herself. She saw a lone figure sitting on the stoop of an apartment building. She knew those Prussian blue eyes. 'It has to be him.' She thought to herself.

"Heero." She whispered quietly. She walked quietly over to him. He didn't even notice her, because he was in deep thought. She stood in front of him.

"Heero." She said in a quiet voice. Heero looked up into Relena's eyes. He leaned back then got up.

"I missed you." She whispered. Heero stood up in front of Relena, still looking into her eyes. Her eyes shone, with tears building up. She wiped her eyes and watched his back up onto the stairs.

"What's wrong, Heero?" Relena asked quietly looking at him in a confused way. He turned around and walked up the stairs to the door.

"Stay away from me, Relena." Heero whispered. She stared up at him; he opened the door and whispered,

"Please." He closed the door, leaving Relena tear up. Her heart ached and she had the feeling of alone in body. It was cold, cold like in her dream. She held her mouth and turned to run. She ran towards her home, her eyes blurry from tears. Darkness overwhelming her senses again. She felt so lost. She ran as fast as she could. It started to rain. Her feet stomped against the wet ground making a clattering sound. The next thing she knew, the blackness took over her and she was alone again.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heero saw Relena fall to the ground and ran outside. He picked up her limp form.

"Relena." He whispered. He picked her up and walked her home. When he reached her house, he went up to her room, going from the balcony and laid her on the bed. She whimpered and grabbed her chest in pain. Heero looked at her and his eyes went wide.

"I'm sorry Relena, please stay away from me." Heero whispered and got up. He walked to the balcony and jumped off. He ran back to his apartment.

A/N: I know the end wasn't that good, but I tried. More to come. This story won't be too long, I just feel like writing an angst fic, before I start my story that isn't angst. I love angst. Weird, huh. Did you enjoy? Review.
